researchers report a quadruped solving a freestanding giant Rubik's Cube using its feet rather than an added arm. The robot scans the cube with an onboard RGB-D camera, plans a solution and combines walking, flipping and layer-turning skills.

One foot pins the cube while another pushes a layer. The preprint reports three complete autonomous hardware solves, each with about 30 steps over eight to nine minutes.

The result is a narrow demonstration of coordinated physical manipulation. Three reported solves do not establish general-purpose dexterity or reliability across other objects and environments.
