A robotic platform inspected wind-turbine blades and applied repair patches at Spain's La Cabaña and El Gramal wind farms during trials on 13-16 October 2025. The project brought inspection and repair equipment together on operating turbines owned by .

Drones first identified areas to inspect. ' platform then carried ' laser-based inspection equipment to the blades, followed by 's composite repair kit. The inspection tools included shearography, which detects subsurface defects. The project says follow-up inspections months later confirmed defects found during the trials.

The project reports successful patch repairs, but gives no repair count, detection-accuracy figure or independently measured cost savings. Further work includes handling more defect types and adding surface preparation and finishing.
