France tested a home-grown kamikaze boat within six months: the defence procurement agency took its low-cost uncrewed attack boat from concept to sea trials, with four trial campaigns completed and three boats operated from ships during the WildFire counter-drone exercise, reported 26 October. The agency owns the design so small coastal shipyards could mass-produce it; the navy has not yet decided to buy it.
